The new logo is intended to strengthen the public perception of the "Cologne Cathedral" brand and at the same time unite the various areas, such as the Cathedral Chapter, the Cathedral Builders' Lodge, etc. under one umbrella brand.
Three isosceles golden triangles, which together form a crown, stand as the foundation of the signet for the shrine of the Magi around which the cathedral was built.
The upper two triangles represent the two towers and their reflection in the Rhine. If you like, the signet follows the history of Cologne Cathedral in its structure. Above the treasure, a cathedral is created that is clearly recognisable in its form and at the same time embodies values such as permanence, cosmopolitanism, modernity and timelessness through its play of facets. The logo is complemented by the various newly developed word marks to form the word-picture mark.
