Laika was founded in a period when everything seemed possible, when every journey felt like reaching for the stars. These were the early years of space exploration when technology, experimentation, and visions for the future captured the popular imagination. Inspired by the endless ways in which technological innovations can influence everyday life, Giovambattista Moscardini was moved to found the Laika brand. The name Laika and the logo, the winged dog, came from the first dog to be launched into the earth’s orbit.
Sixty years later, motorhomes are a regular part of our lives. The Laika logo, which had hardly changed in decades, had an outdated look and was long overdue for a redesign. In addition to solving several technical issues with the logo, such as the filigree detailing that made the typography difficult to read and often caused problems in production, numerous other details were brought into the present day.
