The young Borkum bar „Geeske & der swarte Roelf“ is characterized by its rough, authentic, Nordic image and an underlying story: During the absence of men on whaling, the Borkumer Geeske, together with other brave women, defeats the pirate „ black Rolf“ by a ruse. Her name is a reminder of courage, of thinking differently and offers identification and joie de vivre for everyone. Lightness, laughter, a bit of flirting with life. Everybody comes along, old, young, it doesn‘t matter. It tingles in the air, in us and in the glass. In order to carry this attitude and story into all business divisions and to properly make use of the great potential right on the beach, I designed and implemented a consistent new appearance. Hand-drawn watercolor illustrations play a central role, which show elements from the story or similar atmospheric up to provocative, self-ironic motifs.
