CONTACT for ReUNION

Project Description

A surge of global pandemic of Covid-19 2020, lights and bustles disappeared from cities around the world. The comings and goings between countries, and even a daily contact with friends came to a standstill, everyone had to experience groping while being puzzled by the situation in the nervous physical distance. We were supposed to welcome thousands of people from all over the world for Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic, however, the postponement was decided. The theme of designing is Call & Touch. “Halloo!! how are you doing? We surely get together next year!” For somebody who lives somewhere in overseas and was looking forward to visit Tokyo. The reason that a part of each calendar card touches on the table is to deliver such a greeting and our hearts to them as if to go through personal limited table. Then wishing for reunion with people and hoping bright future. 12 different laser cuts on the paper are extremely fine, each objects symbolize a scene and a moment at every season in Japan.
