Contribution to the exhibition "FREIBAD - Ausstellung Düsseldorfer Designer*innen" may 2021 at the NRW-Forum in Düsseldorf, Germany. Exhibited were works on the theme "outdoor pool" by 38 artists and designers from different disciplines. With the design of the bath towel, I wanted to leave the classic fields of graphic-design, like posters or books for the exhibition; the result is a physical object of use with a typographic game. "PLAYGROUND" connects the public and private space. The bath towel serves as a surface for relaxing, playing or sunbathing on a day at the outdoor pool. In addition, the colors create a heated, successive contrast that begins to shimmer the longer you look at it, similar to a long day in scorching heat.
