In order to regain mental and physical
balance, we need time and the willingness
to accept the loss and to search for a new perspective on life.
The colour black and the mourning border around a death notice are symbolic.
These two symbols form the elements of the first calendar page.
The view into the future is limited,
but necessary.
From calendar page to calendar page, the mourning border around the texts changes.
It becomes narrower, breaks up,
becomes less and disappears over time.
The colours of the paper change:
After the grey scale, the colours change
to blue and green. There are also sometimes darker shades that slowly develop into bright, positive colours.
The ever larger laser-cut circles expand the outlook into a hopeful future.
The separate calendar allows the exact start of the year of mourning.
The back of the calendar shows with
the laser-cut circles how optimism
has increased over the last 12 months.
