The design of our work adopts the binding style of Chinese classical books, looking like dragon scales. In doing this, each page is stuck to the bottom rolling paper, later being rotated in one direction when wrapping the volume up. Besides, we intentionally leave the right half of each page blank, which added up to present a complete scene of "Poetry City" when extended.
The concept of our work is to embody the collision between ancient and modern culture, by taking ancient design patterns of dragon scales in Chinese classical books to present Chinese modern poetry. With expectations of making the traditional culture of Chinese books available to more people across the globe, we firmly believe that our work can attract a large audience to fall in love with the Chinese design pattern in traditional books, as well as with our poetry culture.
