Design concept for a special exhibition on the subject of internal migration in the Euregio region between 1814 and 1914, which enables content to be conveyed on several levels of communication. Inspired by the historical industrial architecture, 9 modules made of prefabricated malleable iron pipes were designed for the subject areas, in which showcases, pictures, video stations and texts are arranged on different supports like in a grid. Texts in three languages, printed on lengths of fabric and mounted on rotating metal cylinders, are set in motion by a crank. The ordering character of the shelving system is broken by "shadow figures" (listening stations or compartments with texts) and advertising columns (carriers for historical printed matter) distributed throughout the room. The nameless protagonists are given a body by the figures and the theme of the shadow is taken up by the black and white coloring. Seating furniture and visitor wall for cultural mediation. Long dwell time.
