Empty shop windows are boring and usually not very attractive in the cityscape. But especially in good locations, they are also unused presentation areas that can be put to good use in the meantime.
At the project "spot on", empty shop windows in the city center of Linz become a temporary stage for locally based young companies and startups. In a pop-up style, local products and creative concepts are put in the spotlight in changing locations.
The central element of the installation is an impressive arrangement of controllable LED lights.
As soon as the viewer stands »on spot« on a marked point in front of the shop window, the complex arrangement of lamps and light unraveled for the viewer and an interactive ticker become legible. Via QR code and smartphone, own messages and crazy light effects can be controlled in the shop window. In combination with the analogue exhibition system, this results in a unique concept.
