Before there were apps, how did we navigate and why is knowing this stuff still cool today? “Von hier nach dort” is a hands-on exhibition that packages the subject of navigation in a child-friendly way and allows children to try it out for themselves.
A mix of interactive stations, walls filled with objects and interesting facts, and historic artefacts offer different levels of immersion. The idea is that children see something that they can take hold of and use.
The exhibition encourages children to have fun experimenting, learning new things and moving through the world with their eyes wide open. It is an empowering experience as they often realise they are already navigating their way through everyday life.
One way of drawing the young target group into the museum was to create a diverse team of superheroes. The young visitors become part of the team and work together to solve small tasks.
