Ballyana: A museum tour for children, families and school groups.
How did a ribbon weaving mill become one of the world's largest shoe factories? How were shoes made more than 150 years ago. What was a working day at the Bally shoe factory like?
The museum tour 'Walking in someone else's shoes' allows young visitors to immerse themselves in the time of industrialization in a playful way. In six stations you will be there with your heart and soul, how shoes were made, where the leather comes from, what the working conditions were like in the factory, where Bally shoes were sold all over the world and how glamorous a shoe fashion show can be could.
Spinform designed and realized the visual form, information, graphics, mediation and participation. The project was created as a master's thesis by Bettina Akermann-Inderbitzin and Fabienne Luchsinger at the Lucerne University of Education. The client was the Ballyana Industrial Culture Foundation.
