For the Lower Austrian State Exhibition 2022, at the Marchegg castle, we were asked to design an extensive architectural and visual identity that progresses throughout the exhibition. The design reimagines the curatorial storyline and evolves from an untamed, organic flow of pristine nature to the clear interventions of man in the form of a rigid, geometric system. This dynamic interaction creates an experiential interplay between content and form and, along with a variety of original historical objects, tells a vivid story throughout the tour. The unique natural environment with its fluvial landscapes and alluvial forests in combination with its rich cultural history, create a tension that characterizes the Marchfeld as a region and has become the main inspiration behind the exhibition’s design. We created unique visuals and infographics that highlighted various stories of the exhibition and offer an immersive view on the evolution of the region.
