Project Description

The best fruits from the best orchards are processed by the traditional Austrian company STAUD'S Vienna into the "Limited", finest jams of the very first quality. Until now, the labels of these specialities were personally inscribed by hand by the company's founder Hans Staud. This highly individual handwriting was to be digitised in the course of a brand relaunch.

The precision work took over a year. In order to achieve the most natural typeface possible with optimal legibility, each letter was executed in three alternatives and supplemented with more than 70 ligatures. All in all, the character set, optimised for web and print, comprises 495 glyphs, which are used intelligently by means of OpenType Features. In this way, this very personal font grants the head of the company, Hans Staud, a bit of immortality.
