The BESTOFF is an annual exhibition of selected artworks by students and graduates of the University of Art and Design Linz. For the BESTOFF 2020 we created an exhibition identity that shows how art interacts in times of crisis and ongoing changes. The continuous back and forth between creativity and prohibition, the antipode of flexibility and immobility, open and closed, ON and OFF is also incorporated in the poster design: The high transparency is showing the front and back of the poster simultaneously, enabling a conscious interplay between the front and back, visibility and invisibility, ON and OFF, BEST and OFF.
