6,000 years ago, people in Europe started erecting large stone sculptures. The exhibition catalog presents stelae from a number of European countries and offers a unique insight into the Neolithic period. Bespoke patterns for each stele are placed in the gutter of the corresponding page spread and emphasize the specific symbols and shapes. The cover offers a technical highlight: a combination of silkscreen and offset printing on black paper. Black and white is used to enhance the subtle colors of the stones.
