Atelier10 is an unusual project in many ways – a shared studio space and gallery in a former baking factory, it primarily supports artistic achievements of persons with health-related or cognitive disabilities. While categories such as Art Brut or Outsider Art have previously been used to give a name to art from this dynamic field, Atelier10 stands for the endeavour to operate beyond these classifications.

The publication honours the client’s desire to present the artistic output and activities that have taken place over the course of the past ten years in an unconventional fashion. Image material is numbered and introduced in the form of a generative layout, the index in the back organises bilingual information chronologically as well as alphabetically. Each part possesses a distinct tactile and visual quality, cross-referencing is facilitated by large figures in the margin that indicate image numbering, index letters provide orientation in the alphabetical section.
