The traditional Austrian brewery “Stiegl” launched a craft beer range – the “Stiegl Housebeers”. Positioned beyond mainstream, the contemporary redesign reflects the unique character of these specialties.
The most famous Stiegl brand element, the 5-stepped logo, became a distinctive frame for the new key visual of the label design. Each illustrative bar (= step) reflects a certain aspect of the beer. Top down: the flavor, the special ingredient, the inspiration and name, the production and the think tank “Wildshut”.
We placed the beer itself with all its facets at the center of the new design. By creating labels, that speak for themselves – not with words, but with handcrafted illustrations.
Each Housebeer has its own concept of colour – according to its character. The illustrations by Maité Franchi prove that there is no contradiction between boldness and love for detail. The unmistakable imagery adds to the outside of the bottle what’s always been inside: Good Taste.
