I have rewritten this important work of Johann Amos Comenius into contemporary language and accompanied it with personal scenes from my childhood to bring this educational book closer to my readers. I have used the monotype technique in shades of blue, and I have underlined the transition of the chapters on the education of practical activities to the chapters on the spiritual guidance of the child in old-pink. The book is filled with moments of family comfort and love, small treasures such as seashells, pinecones, glass jars; and still lifes of a rocking chair or a child's playhouse. Comenius speaks to the mind, and I speak to the heart of mothers who receive the book from their husbands or parents when they give birth for the first time.
