The access to education should be open to everyone, but even in Germany over 12% of the population cannot read or write to a sufficient level – because of this the “Bayrische Volkshochschulverband” and its partners have started an initiative to allow a more self-determined Way of life. They offer workshops to navigate more complex every-day situations. To do so several short animated videos have been made – clear to all no matter if one can read or not. To overcome origins, Culture and Educational backgrounds metaphors are delivered via visualized metaphors, inclusive, clear and without inhibitions. The development of the Style of the illustrations and imagery had to be efficient – you can find it in nine videos of the topics: “going to the doctor”, “finding a flat”, “reading letters and answering them”, “surfing the internet”, “Health insurance” or “organizing life”.
