„Yakata: A goat-like creature that lives on top of the Andes Mountains“ – Urban Dictionary

The band was, while working on their Psycho-Pop debut album A Boy’s Latin, in a state of self-discovery and emotional chaos. They described the overall theme of their project like this: „Life is like a difficult language that we try to decrypt“.

The artwork shows the final destination of the quest to finding Yakata, an omniscient being in shape of a goat. After a lot of stations (=songs) with highs and lows, paranoia and ecstasy, one reaches the top of a mountain above the clouds. There, the answers to all questions in life await the curious wanderer. Yakata speaks all languages and has universal knowledge.

The ultimate realization will not necessarily make one happy – but it’s definitely worth the trip.
