In Austria, every sixth child grows up with a mentally ill parent. Nevertheless, the topic remains unseen far too often. The #visible project is committed to changing this. In addition to online counseling for those affected, a major goal was to remove the taboo surrounding the topic. With a large-scale campaign, this matter was finally given an appropriate stage. The topic of "children with mentally ill parents" was made "visible" by the help of a street art mural on the facade of a building in a highly frequented square in Vienna's 7th district. The entire surface was covered with eye-catching illustrations. The mural was composed of a variety of different motifs. Each of them interpreted the possible effects of different mental illnesses - for example, "when your dad cries all day" or "when your mom doesn't leave the house".
