„Der Störenfried“ is a newspaper which is dedicated to a main topic in each issue. Topics are dealt with which, in the opinion of the editors, receive too little public attention, contain uncomfortable truths or are complex. The theme of the first issue is the „War on Terror“. The title „Der Störenfried – Für Menschen die's interessiert“ was deliberately chosen to be provocative in order to motivate viewers to devote themselves to the newspaper.

The newspaper offers the topics room for a comprehensive presentation, which can range from easy-to-read summaries to complex data. This information is linked by a well thought-out cross-reference (layout) system, which highlights connections and conveys extensive knowledge.

The self-designed typography, illustrations, infographics and layout are deliberately reduced and factual. This combination is intended to underline the seriousness of the topic.
