UNELMIA | DAYDREAMS is an ongoing illustration project which started by one dream: Designer Anu Saari had long dreamt of making her own illustrations and holding an exhibition in Japan. When this dream started turning into reality, she got the idea that she would harness the realization of her own dream for visualizing other people’s dreams.

There has been three Daydreams exhibitions so far. Each time in the exhibition space the gallery audience is invited to participate in the project by writing down their own dreams on cards and hanging them in the gallery space. Some of those dreams are illustrated and included in the next exhibition. Printing techniques used are risography and serigraphy.

Who are we in our dreams? Dare we dream freely? Radically, even? As so many things in this world have sprung from seedlings of dreams. The tiniest of which may alter our life more than we could ever fathom. For free-flowing dreams stream together, bring us closer to each other than ever.
