"Lastivochka" is a short story told in a series of illustrations. It is based on real historical and cultural facts and I hope, one day it will become a real illustrated book. This story is about "Shchedryk" ( also known as "Carol of the Bells") - in 1916 ukrainian composer Mykola Leontovych arranged the famous folk motif for a choir and the song began to spread the world.
The word "lastivochka" means "a little swallow" in Ukrainian. Lastivochka is the protagonist in plot of the carol - it flies to a household and sings a song of joy to hosts.
In my story Lastivochka takes a melody and carries it on wings over the whole world helping this beautiful carol to become famous.
