This project intends to represent diversity, in any shape or form: it´s about representing, embracing and proudly "owning" being different.
My work attempts to break the stigma on normal things, that society refers to as "flaws" and "imperfections". This is being stressed by elements such as big noses, dark circles under one´s eyes, hair growth (beards, big bushy eyebrows), wrinkles and the lack of easily identifiable genders. The choice of color is highly influenced by the LGBTQIA+ community and its related rainbow-colors. On each face certain details are missing to match to the theme of "coming undone, being "broken" and the feeling of not being enough" and yet standing strong for oneself.
The typography says "come as you are" and sums up the whole intention of this project: it is about time to finally accept and learn to love the uniqueness of each and everyone of us.
